Henna is a natural plant-based paste made from the leaves of the henna plant (Lawsonia inermis) that temporarily stains the skin. It has been used for centuries in cultural celebrations, weddings, and festivals. Our henna powder is organic and mixed with either lavender, tea tree, or cajeput oils.
Henna designs typically last 1–2 weeks, gradually fading as the skin naturally exfoliates. The stain appears light orange at first and deepens to a rich reddish-brown over 24–48 hours.
Natural henna is generally safe for most skin types when properly prepared and applied. I use high-quality, natural henna paste made without harmful additives. “Black henna” containing added dyes is not used. Darker staining natural based henna using Jagua Juice is available upon request, additional fee may apply.
Most small to medium henna designs take 5–10 minutes to apply, depending on detail and placement. Larger or more intricate pieces may take longer. Bridal sessions require 4-8 hours.
For best results, keep the paste on the skin for several hours before gently removing it. Avoid water for the first 12–24 hours, and moisturize regularly to help the stain last longer.
